Volunteer Opportunities
The Televerde Outplacement Service (TOPS) plays a leading role in fulfilling Televerde’s mission to improve the lives of our employees and the communities in which we operate. The program is designed to facilitate an holistic approach to societal reintegration of incarcerated women, with a focus on professional employment and reduction in recidivism. The intent is to prepare participants to conduct a professional job search by offering skill-building workshops on professionalism, resume writing, and interviewing. Additionally, the program assists with preparation in other essential areas through life skill courses and connecting participants with community resources that offer support and encouragement. We have volunteer opportunities for those interested in offering ongoing growth and development for our post-graduates who have transitioned into our corporate office. We have had interest in the areas of credit repair, smart shopping, dressing for success on a budget, purchasing a car or home, investing, and self-help and development topics. By volunteering for this program, you will support the women in their successful transition by sharing insight and knowledge in an area that you have a personal/professional interest in. A few hours of your time and expertise can have a tremendous positive impact on the lives of women preparing to reintegrate back into our communities.

The Televerde Endowment for New Scholars (TENS) program has been created in partnership with the Arizona Foundation for Women (AFW) to provide scholarships to accredited educational opportunities for our correctional facility alumnae upon their release. This 501(c) (3) program was created to assist and empower women in transition achieve their educational goals while striving for improved quality of life. The Arizona Foundation for Women recently acknowledged the first two recipients of the TENS scholarship fund.
